Boston Post-Marathon

I missed the Boston Marathon because I was shooting my scene for directing class.  But I didn’t miss this.

CSO in Boston

My NYC improv team, Casual Sex Offenders is up in Boston for the weekend. We are doing three (THREE!) shows at ImprovBoston. Yesterday was with the IB group Bastards, Inc.. Here’s the video evidence.

Editing

My film came back from Fotokem and I’ve been editing ever since.  I’ve been trying a few things that are new (to me): Cutting on Avid and starting the edit with the ending sequence and working my way to the front.  Being a Final Cut Pro kind of guy cutting on Avid is somewhat of a pain.  Starting with the end and moving back to the front seems to be working in my favor.  The photo below is from that ending sequence a couple days ago.  I’ve made significant progress since then.  This excites you.

Gorilla Suit

It got up to 70 degrees in Boston today. Also there was a man in a gorilla suit wearing a Michael Jordan Chicago Bulls jersey doing arm curls on the roof of Newbury Comics on Newbury street. I’m sure this is normal.

School’s Out For Winter!

There is allegedly some sort of storm for the ages heading towards Boston so school was cancelled half-way through the day.  Yes, I’m rocking out to School’s Out by Alice Cooper.

Casual Sex Offenders

My improv group, Casual Sex Offenders, came to Boston on December 12th.  We did one of those shows we do.  You know, the ones with the laughs?  Allegedly.  Well, here’s the video evidence.

Boston in the Winter

The weather has been crazy in Boston.  On Monday it was freezing, by Wednesday it was 60 degrees, and now it’s snowing.

CSO, November-Style

My New York improv group Casual Sex Offenders do shows all the time.  Often multiple shows a week.  I’m rarely there due to the fact that I live in Boston.  Makes it tough to participate, you know?  However, every now and then I make the trip south to New York get onstage and do the funny.  This past Sunday was one of those times.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Last night I went to the Red Sox game versus the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.  I’m not a fan of either team plus I’m not much of a baseball fan in general.  However, it was one of BU’s grad student events and I wanted to go.

Boston Again

I made another trip to Boston to put down my cash/money for an apartment.  As has been the case recently my camera is still broken and I haven’t replaced it so I don’t have any fancy pictures to show you.  So…here’s a street (commonwealth avenue):

I Was in Boston Last Week

I was in Boston last week to start the apartment search.  I didn’t find anything, but we got off to a good start.  Hopefully I find some place to sleep before school starts.  That would be nice.

Despite having my camera with me I didn’t take many photos while I was there.  Plus amongst the few photos I took even fewer were any good.  Here’s one:
