I canceled my cable today. That’s because I’m moving. This may seem like a small thing, but it was an event for me. I was really expecting some dramatic drawn out fight with the cable company to release me from my contract. I was preparing my self for an epic argument. Using my best strong-arm negotiation skills. I was ready for a fight.
There wasn’t one.
They were very friendly. They canceled my cable without a bit of opposition. Also, it turned out, that I canceled on the exact last day before I was to be charged for another month. So, I didn’t have a battle and I didn’t lose any money.
I call that victory.

In no particular order, of course
- Mikes Rehearsal
- Mikes is a new two-man improv show I’m directing. It stars Mike McDonald and Mike Varejao. It’ll hit the stage in the early fall.
- Finding an Apartment
- A very important project to say the least.
- Death Girl meetings
- Don’t think for a second that I’ve forgotten about my thesis project. In fact it’s my primary task during the rest of my time in Boston.
- Manthorne and The Baron trailer
- Alex LeBaron and Brendan Mulhern have asked me to make a trailer for their two-man show. We’re working out the details of how this video project will be put together.
- The Father/Daughter project
- This is a sketch video project. More on that soon.
- The Del Close Marathon
- I’m performing at the Del Close Marathon in New York again this year. I have three shows: Shays’ Rebellion, Plan B (who just won the 2011 harold night tournament, by the way), and my old NYC team Casual Sex Offenders.

Right now, thanks to Spotify, I’m listening to the Tron: Legacy soundtrack. Good job, Spotify.

As some of you know I was originally planning to move to LA this summer, but that’s no longer happening. Since I’ll be around Boston longer than I planned I should work on some new projects. I already have the rewrite to Love, Blood, and Violence to do and I’d love to get another script (or two) done while I’m here. I will, of course, continue to perform with Plan B at Harold Night at ImprovBoston and I’m already working on a new improv show with myself as the director. Right now I’m debating some new projects…one of which involves shooting a whole bunch of comedy sketches in an impossibly short period of time.
Oh, and I need to make Death Girl.
I’ll be busy.
